There is still hope of obtaining this sum if we can get state and county funds. Please email your local officials saying that you urge allocation of state funds (in the case of Sher, Cunneen, and Campbell) and county funds (in the case of the County Supervisors) to acquire Bear Creek Redwoods for public open space under the agency of MROSD. Only complete acquisition assures permanent protection. The current deal to obtain only the upper 800 acres depends entirely upon Arlie Land and Cattle being able to build at least 30 homes on the lower portion.
