From: tyagi@houseofkaos.abyss.com (tyagi nagasiva) To: private email Date: Kali Yuga 49941205 I would rather not discuss my thealogy, but I will mention it in relation to my magical work. I equate Satan and God. I worship both of them as revealers of wisdom. I see Satan as the most wrathful side of God, misunderstood by the greater populace. In this way I also see that Satan and Kali (to whom I am specifically dedicated) are one in essence. The way they relate to my magical work is that not only do I interact with them and their horrific aspects (healing myself in the process), but do I witness the faith to those who condemn and ostracize the wrathful sides of God and themselves. My magick takes the form of a shamanic healing of sorts, often a slow and sometimes painful process. There appears not to ever be an 'end' to healing, though in my fatigue I sometimes wish it otherwise. |...the occult is the domain of Satan. My experience is that this is largely true, but only from certain perspec- tives. That is, if you see Satan as The Big Bad Guy Who Rules Evil and Must Be Destroyed, then this is not completely true. Look into the dualistic and moralizing tales of sci-fi and fantasy like those of Lewis (Narnia) or Kurtz (Deryni). Look at the way that magick and certain types of occult practice are utilized by Muslim Sufis (see Shah's _Oriental Magic_), Wiccans (see Marion Weinstein or the Frosts for dualistic versions of these), and strict Hermetics (see Dion Fortune, E.A. Waite and perhaps some Theosophists), or even Satanists themselves (LaVey and Aquino are fairly mild, though they argue for an ethic which offends/confuses some traditionalists). If you see Satan as the Lord of Individual Sovereignty and Personal Integrity, then there is much truth to this. Occultism in general has many gnostic seeds which inspire both dissolution of dependency as well as increased freedom of thought. This can be dangerous to those whose practice includes a consistent doctrine maintained so as to unlock their hearts. |> Does anyone fear that Satan may enter into their lives if they take |> their magick too far? I no longer fear it, since it has happened, though I do have fear about interacting with Hir at times. I do think that magick per se will, if practiced diligently, lead to a Descent into Hell and a Meeting with Satan, though I'm sure each faces this in a different way. I have chosen the path of love, though I know that my relationship with Satan will not sit well with most Christians (serving Him). |> is he a real spirit or is he merely something like "the personification |> of evil" for you? SHe is material existence and all that this implies. end
