I'm not posting it since I don't think it is presently required and I'd rather take the heat off the CAW and turn the discussion into an analysis of the division between Neopagans and Satanists in contemplation of each. -------- kaliyuga 49960621 AA1 Happy Happy Litha to you and your church! Aquino and Scratch (who are both of the ToS, which has a reputation for acidity), I do think that we all have a sincere desire to correct what we consider those errors to be. we merely have different methods. mine is more tactful at times. :> I offered to Mr. Aquino to be a go-between betwixt he and the CAW and received a polite but firm refusal. since then I have occasionally been the target of that ToS acid, so I can truly sympathize with you. my intent has always been to eliminate the ad hominem from our exchanges (both with you and Oberon), as I hope you see over time. |On the other hand, I'm more than willing to toss a few grenades back |when people are making 'attacks' on my church and my friends. |I've never been the 'non-confrontational' type. ;-> this was the comment which inspired me to respond to you here and now. it appears to be a facet of the Satanist community that anger and vociferousness are the prized and in some measure standard means of communications with those who one perceives to be one's enemies, especially if in response to a perceived wrong. this is of course occasionally justified within the Satanic community through resort to things like 'Social Darwinism' and the 'perfect naturality of aggression'. I'm not saying that it is nice or that it always leads directly to what one desires, yet it is obvious to me that WRATH is a very important expression within the Satanic community (its very gods tending to be the more wrathful and angry, even while often objecting to association with the Old Testament Yahweh, which I find funny :>). I like this directly to the pain and anguish which Satan (as I understand Hir) is currently suffering. as I hope you know, there is a great deal of focus upon wrathful deities within world religion, though Satanists at times take these more to heart as exemplars of sincere emotional pain and anguish than, say, the Tibetan Buddhists or 'Hindus'. |...I tend to reserve the intensity of 'hate' for people who |deserve it. I can't imagine anyone on the 'net having enough |influence in my life to inspire that much intensity. I do understand and to some great measure agree with this. my own speculation is that by entering into the perceived malignment suffered by Christians in their Nightmare (which I contend that Satanists may assist in bringing to an end to some extent), and without consulting and allowing the greater Satanic community to feel included in that escapade, the CAW has become the target for a great deal of repressed and to some degree MISPLACED anguish and frustration. I'm sorry this is the case, but y'all were the ones who got yourselves involved with the quagmire. :> to note: I did not say that this was intentional on CAW's part, and this is perhaps why I am so easy to back off. what seems glaring and obvious inaccuracy to me and others cannot be known as such by those who are not directly involved or are not able to take the time to research these matters carefully (especially within a field of dreams and rumor and slander as has been perpetuated by fundamentalist Christians for years, as I'm sure you are well aware). again, thank you for your time and patience. may we find a way to heal ALL the rifts amidst the occult community, forging a beauteous and consolidated repudiation of the fiction and scare-tactics that have arisen amongst us. it may be that such a forged linkage will benefit us all a hundred-fold and finally lead to the full liberation of religious practice at least in the United States. tyagi@houseofkaos.abyss.com nocTifer
