This booklet provides a great introduction to the many non-dream divination "systems" of lottery number play popular in the African American community. Topics covered in this handbook include definitions of terms used in the Numbers Game (hit, boxed, straight, etc.), a history of the development of rundown and work-out methods, and a series of exemplary work-outs, such as The Miracle System, The Daily Work-out, The 3-5-7 Work-out, The Master Line Work-out, The Composite Special Work-Out, The Gable Work-out, The Big 8 Work-Out, The Double Number Elimination Work-out, The Seven Come Eleven, The Criss-Cross, The Straight, and more. Also included is information on how to do "Egyptian Addition," which is an important factor in several Work-Out systems.
With the exception of one dream book, all of the material credited to the pseudonymous Billy Bing (probably Ralph Anderson) deals with "systems" of lottery or lotto rundowns and work-outs. These are methods of number selection based on past number performance that do not rely on dreaming, remembering dreams, the use of symbolic divination of dreams, or the gift of dreaming lucky prior to placing lottery bets. What is more, the two betting systems -- dream interpretation and divination of numbers from dreams on the one hand and lottery rundowns and work-outs on the other -- are almost never mixed. "Systems" draw the lotto or lottery player into numerological and performance-based number analysis, manipulation, and selection.
The Billy Bing titles include:
- Billy Bing's Dream Book
- Billy Bing's Red Book of Relative Numbers: "Follow-Ups"
- Billy Bing's Gold Book: Facts About Numbers from "Prof." Hitt's Latest Records
- Billy Bing's Work-Out Book by Billy Bing with "Prof." Hitt
More general information about dream books, policy wheels, and lottery betting will be found in the page about "Aunt Sally's Policy Players Dream Book"
