"Block Buster blows apart blockages and obstacles that have been thrown in front of you. If you have been thwarted, held down, sent back, closed off, or made to stop in your tracks, now is the time to blow apart the rocks and boulders in your road and make a path where there was none!"
-- The Lucky Mojo Curio Co. catalogue
The labels shown here are from packages of Lucky Mojo brand Block Buster crystal salts for sprinkling into the bath or laundry water, or for performing a ritual floor wash; Block Buster incense powders for fumigating an area to be cleansed; Block Buster sachet powders for laying down over and thus deactivating obstacles caused by foot track magic, for dusting clothing and bedding that has been jinxed, and for powdering the body; and Block Buster oil for anointing candles and other items, such as door knobs on which one's enemy might have put Jinx Oil or Crossing Oil. The exploding stick of dynamite on the label indicates the sudden blasting apart of circumstances or people that have blocked your way forward in life.
Like the rest of the Lucky Mojo line, Block Buster products contain genuine herbs and herbal essential oils, not synthetic fragrances. The Lucky Mojo labels are adapted from vintage packaging and in many cases the images are as traditional as the ingredients themselves.
Block Buster is the name of a line of herb-based hoodoo, conjure, or rootwork supplies that contain hot, fiery, and spiritually "explosive" herbs and minerals reputed in folklore to blow apart obstacles, especially those which were thrown or laid in one's path one by enemies or those which have prevented forward motion because of one's careless inattention to the accumulation of errors and blockages.
Although it may seem intuitive to identify Block Buster products and the spells in which they are used, with Road Opener spiritual supplies and their attendant magical spells, the two lines actually have different origination points and present a different array of workings. Road Opener can be metaphorically compared to a machete with which you clear away growth on an overgrown path, while Block Buster is symbolic of a stick of dynamite used to blow open a road through a mountain pass filled with rocks. Block Buster is sudden in its action, and will not necessarily create a delicate roadway to walk on, but if it works right, it will definitely take out all obstacles to progress.
Block Buster spiritual supplies have also been compared to Uncrossing and Jinx Killer spiritual supplies, and, in some ways, these comparisons are more apt, insofar as Uncrossing is generally the removal of a curse of Crossing or Crossed Conditions placed by an enemy, and Jinx Killer is generally employed to lay to rest or "kill" a Jinx placed by an enemy. However, the most common form of Uncrossing work involves removal of the curse through the process of spiritual bathing and the most common form of Jinx Killer involves laying down powders to cover the ground where the Jinx was encountered.
Block Buster, by contrast, due to its fiery nature and explosive imagery, is most commonly used in the form of a candle, fixed with a conjure oil and, optionally, with a special Block Buster herb mix that is used to dress the candle. However, it can be deployed in the form of a floor wash or burned as incense, or laid in one's path or on an altar in the form of powders mixed with local dirt.
One of the best things about Block Buster spells is that they can be used to break up long-standing conditions, even when you don't know who caused the trouble or why -- of if what is impeding your movement is deliberate enemy activity or just "a run of bad luck" or "a series of unfortnate coincidences." Block Buster does not care what brought the problem into existence or how it is being sustained -- it just blows everything in your path to Kingdom Come and makes a way where there was no way.
This simple candle spell utilizes a combination of hoodoo dressing oils and magical herbs to remove blockages from your life. You will need:
Start your work by writing out these verses of scripture on a prayer-paper. The type of paper is not important, but the writing should be your own, not printed or photocopied, nor should you tear any pages from your Bible to perform this work:
"Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."
-- Isaiah 43:19
He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths.
-- Psalms 78:15
Set the paper aside.
Lay the waxed paper or aluminum foil on the cookie sheet, loosely (do not tuck it under). Sprinkle your leftover wax shavings or cheese wax on the sheet, or lay down a piece of beeswax sheet -- the colour is not important, but red would look good if you can get it. Sprinkle over it a small amount of the herb mixture -- less than half the packet. Set this aside as well.
Inscribe the candle with your specific prayer, writing all ver it as you will. If you use a needle, pin, or nail, you will not actually be able to read the writing, and readability is not the point -- the point is for you to declare your desire for all blockages to be removed. If you cannot think of a way to word this yourself, simply copy the same two scriptural verses from Isaiah 43:19 and Psalms 78:15 onto the candle.
Turn on your heat source and bring the water to a boil. Place your prayer paper in the water and add the rest of the herb mixture to the water, then take the pot off the heat and set it aside.
Place the lined cookie sheet over the heat source. Heat it just until the wax softens and begins to melt, not until it is all liquid. Remove it from the heat and, using the waxed paper or aluminum fol to help, roll the candle in the wax-herb mix and press it all over the candle, removing the foil or waxed paper as you work The result will be lumpy and bumpy. Let the candle wax harden. This kind of candle is called an herb-rolled candle or prepared candle.
Strain the herb mixture and prayer paper out of the water, pour it back into the bowl, and add three drops of Block Buster oil.
Dress the rolled candle candle with Block Buster Oil as you pray aloud the scriptural verses from from Isaiah 43:19 and Psalms 78:15. Light the candle. Now go into your bath (tub or shower or even outdoors if you prefer) and pour the prepared water over yourself, from the neck down, and be sure to also bathe your feet in it, stroking from heel to toes to open your way. Let the candle burn until it is completely out, then take any left-over wax, and mix it with the left-over herbs and prayer paper and take them all outdoors and go to a crossroads where you may toss them to the four directections, once more reciting the two verses of scripture to remove all blockages. Go home without looking back and know your way has been cleared. If you wish to do further work for a secific goal, begin it the next day, after a good night's sleep. You may undertake any kind of work you wish at that time.
