Personally, I always found shaving to be irritating, regardless of aftercare; waxing is a far better option for me (performed by a qualified aesthetician -- I don't have enough hands to hold the skin taut and pull the linen strip) -- aftercare of exfoliation and moisturizing is still necessary, but I never itched with regrowth and very rarely had ingrown hairs (which were easily enough taken care of with a needle and a good pair of tweezers). -j
