I can if I want my conclusions to come out in some particular way. 
there are many who maintain that you can believe-things-true.
I suppose there must be some that think this applies metaphysically 
and that if one believes fervently enough, one's presuppositions
about the underlying fabric of the cosmos will become reality. ;>
