"Tao" in chinese means "the way" this term has been in china in a very pure form for 10,000 years. "Tao" is more related to the sanskrit term "Sat" which translated directly to chinese reads "wuji". All of these sciences you speak of have more than one originator, you know. I know vajreyana tantra, kundalini yoga, and qigong (taoist). Same goal, different methods. Of the three, qigong is the most developed and comprehensive. By standards of qigong (which PREDATES tantra, by the way) Kundalini Yoga and Vajreyana Tantrism are INCOMPLETE. One look at the differences of the energetic anatomies of each system will prove this.
