Sorry, i do know of some candles made with vegetable wax, but they are not 3-day or 7-day candles. They are made by Guatemalan Indians from a tree or shrub with a waxy coating, similar to the way Bayberry candles used to be made in the USA many years ago. They are quite small, about 3" tall. You could always use an oil-burning lamp, you know, with olive oil in it. I do not mean a kerosene lamp, but an old fashioned oil lamp. Burning a lamp for a certain number of days is an older style of ritual than the 19th and 20th century ones with candles. A reproduction Roman or Greek oil lamp could be had cheaply, and a modern clear glass oil lamp would work too. You could tint the olive oil any colour you wanted, for symbolic purposes. Best of luck to you! cat yronwode Hoodoo and Blues Lyrics --------- http://www.luckymojo.com/blues.html
