****Yes. We have a Western counterpart to the I Ching called
*Geomancy* that utilizes 16 4-tiered, 2 ranked dot figures. This is a
very ancient system that came into Medieval European from Arabic and
West African sources, but it does relate to the horoscope, and the
chart used in a reading is the medieval "square horoscope" figure. It
is very accurate for direct, concrete questions, especially concerning
practical decisions. On the down side: it hasn't been sweetened up
over the years like Tarot and astrology, so like the Middle Ages from
which it springs, it gives some really negative answers at times (in
those days life was nasty, brutish, and short). The other not so good
thing about Geomancy up until recently was the cumbersome, ponderous
and redundant  method of casting and interpolating a reading.
Fortunately we've corrected that with a rectified "ceremonial method"
in which we cast geomantic dice on an altar top laid out in a Medieval
horoscope pattern; (sort of a Holy Crap Table if you will). Original
prehistoric "dice" were made from the huckle bones of split-foot
animals, giving 16 sides, and we believe that the Biblical Urim and
Thummin were two eight-side flourite crystals. You find all this
explained in "Recently Discovered Secrets of Ceremonial Geomancy" by
Frater Thabion in *The Seventh Ray, Book I,  the "Blue Ray"* from The
Church of the Hermetic Sciences/Ordo Templi Astartes.
