In my limited scrying experience, the "bowl of water" has indeed been the best method. crystal ball ... no results. bowl of water ... excellent results every time. actual black mirror ... haven't tried this yet. computer screen "black mirror"... excellent results, but I feel like a twit. incense smoke ... sometimes something, sometimes nothing. candle flame ... no results. carpet patterns ... noticed this in a class. Before scrying I "palm" for about five minutes: http://www.seeing.org/intro/techniqs/palming.htm I have no idea whether palming works as a vision improvement technique, but it helps me to maintain a steady gaze while scrying. Then I do an open-eyed concentration exercise for a few minutes: projecting a silver crescent into the bowl of water. Then I begin scrying. I don't get any results that could be called paranormal; even so, scrying has been a very valuable practice for me. -- e_nihilist@yahoo.com 21/m - philosophy, literature, magick, hip hop
