Most occult organizations, service clubs and many small religious organizations can loosely be called "children of freemasonry". Democracy and Representative government in the last few centuries can be called cousins of freemasonry -- since the old guild charters that were the operative precursors of Masonry made more substantial contributions to those things than the Magna Carta.
