Certainly, many books on practical witchcraft would give planetary associations, for practicality, and many covens (and some traditions) will have standardised ways of working, but it would be wrong to say there is any Wiccan "tradition" of associations. There is a well-established western tradition of planetary associations, which seems to work OK (by the way, I don't think pink for Venus is traditional), and the original books of shadows don't expound any further on this subject.
