Any intelligent responses would be >appreciated. Thanx The Grimorium Verum is one of the better regarded examples of the grimoire class of magical literature. The important bits were included in Waite's _Ceremonial Magic_, and in more literal detail in Shah's _Secret Lore of Magic_. Trident published the only recent, complete edition in 1994, hand bound by Joel Radcliffe in cobra and papyrus, raised spine bands, black buckram slipcase, ribbon markers and all. It's a beautiful example of the bookbinder's art, and I'd bet that you won't find one these days for the original $75 price. As I recall, the handbound edition was limited to only 75 copies or so, and so far as I know was never put in regular hardcovers. Your best bet would be Serpent's Occult, if you really wanted one of these. Otherwise look for Idries Shah's book, in either the '58 hardback, or '72 paperback editions from Citadel, or Waite's book, still in print in paper covers from Weiser as _The Book of Black Magic and of Pacts_. University Press did a nice corrected hardback of this one, which you may also be able to find. The Trident edition is also interesting for its inclusion of an additional treatise, 'The Book of the Black Serpent' by 'A Fellow of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn', dealing with a variety of angelic evocation, but not directly related to the Grimorium Verum, which is explictly a handbook of demonic evocation. Queries I posted at the time elicited no further information regarding the actual provenance of this work, whether of the original Golden Dawn or its later reincarnations. It's possible that IGOS has an edition of the Grimorium Verum, as they have a variety of other grimoires in print. Az0th
