You should be able to purchase this in most New Age/Occult Shops. Indio carries an "Anna Riva's Dragons Blood Ink" that is quite effective, although I would add chunks of the resin to the bottle just to be safe. If Dragon's blood ink is not available have you thought about using just any old plain red ink pen. Many people choose this method instead. LuckyH. (luckyhoodoo@aol.com) ------------------------------------------------------------ but you need to use red ink? mel (heart_of_darkness@web.de) ------------------------------------------------------------ No, you don't have to if you don't want to. Use whatever color you want. I know a lot of teeny-bopper Wiccans who like to write in those "metalic pastelle" inks that have become so popular lately. Also my friend Tracy (16) uses a spiral notebook for her "Book of Shadows". Do what you want on this one. LuckyH. (luckyhoodoo@aol.com) ------------------------------------------------------------ As Lucky said, it is customary these days to use Dragon's Blood Ink for keeping such a book -- but you don't HAVE to! You could use a pencil on a lined paper composition notebook and do just fine. Also, as Lucky noted, most commercial dragon's blood ink is a cheat -- it has no dragon's bllood resin in it, so you should either buy from a supplier who puts the resin chuinks in or buy some extra and add it to a bottle of red ink -- or make your own dragon's blood ink -- which, in my experience is a messy project with variable results. cat yronwode (cat@luckymojo.com) ------------------------------------------------------------ Heck, I just use electrons and some ferrite -- but I have a "Disk of Shadows" instead! Yowie (yowie9644@my-deja.com) ------------------------------------------------------------ I like the idea of a Disk of Shadows very much. Thank you for that conception. It gives rise to other ideas: a Hard Drive of Shadows, a Website of Shadows, a Domain of Shadows. Yep ... that's nice. cat yronwode (cat@luckymojo.com)
