Perhaps you mean 'The Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor' by
Joscelyn Godwin, Christian Chanel, and John P. Deveney published
by Samuel Weiser, Inc. 1995?  There's also a new bio titled
'Paschal Beverly Randolph' by John Patrick Deveney published
by State University of New York Press, Albany (SUNY), 1997.
