my guess is that it pertains to magic-work, usually the name
referred to as what is used within the Neopagan, Magical, or
New Age community, rather than a street-name. some folks have
lives that divide up names based on activities and whether it
interacts with civil authorities. sometimes these are
names accepted/given/taken in initiation ceremonies, as when
Gardnerian Wiccans issue degrees based on performance and
reliability.
