while reading this thread (amusing! wonderful!!), the thought
occurred to me that one might extend the argument to what are
called "inanimate objects" also, like toasters. by extension
we can come up with some classes of communicating agents:

	nonsensed agents (angels, spirits, demons, ghosts, etc.) 

	mobile living agents (dogs, humans, slugs, etc.)

        nonmobile living agents (trees, shrubs, sponges, etc.)

	inanimate agents (toasters, ladders, even clouds, etc.)

and that these could be arranged by virtue of their qualities,
such as provability, durability, intelligence, etc.  what one
associated with each class would indicate something of one's
chosen cosmology, and tell us something about what one believes.

psychic conversation being nonapparent and therefore not 
demonstrated or confirmed, might exist in any number of
different cosmological contexts. 

possibilities not yet considered that I've noticed:

	dogs might *secretly pretending to be angels*

	relative mobility and animation might be
	  INVERSELY related to insight and intelligence
		(making toasters a *better* source of info)

and I'm sure there are other possibilities too. thanks.
