As-salaamu alaikum,

According to Shaykh Nazim al-Qubbrusi, during the end times, the Antichrist
(Daijal) will instigate global war which will rage on until Mahdi arrives.
He will be a descendant of the Prophet, sallahu alahi wa salaam, and will
raise his flag. He will end the war by stopping the operation of all
electrical equipment instantly (presumably sparing ionic-based biological
processes...). He will not be able to kill Daijal, though; around this
point Jesus (Isa) will return to earth, descending from heaven to the
minaret of St. John the Baptist's masjid in Damascus. He will meet Daijal
at Meggido and destroy him, inaugurating a 40-year golden era.

There is more of this in his published writings. According to Shaykh Nazim,
the Mahdi is alive now and in his late 40's or early 50's and living in the
empty quarter of the Arabian peninsula, guarded by angels and djinn.
