Also, ritual language isn't any clearer to most folks either. Many things can be, and are, comprehended under either heading. Use of one term or the other doesn't save any time or trouble - the reader is still obliged to undertake considerable work before the terms will convey much at all. ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ The 'Etruscan' system we are here inferring would likely involve a body of religious doctrine and associations, Oracular methods, letter symbolism including correspondences, and most likely of all, a Calendrical Secret. The Proto-Canaanite 'Pagan Mystery Alphabet', the ancestor of the Hebrew alphabet, is also extremely likely to have involved some or all of these properties. These elements are of course to be understood as bearing a huge 'etcetera'. I don't think it is misleading or insulting to use the term 'Qabalah' to describe such systems as these. One might even argue that it is flattering to the Jewish system to use it as a generic term to cover other systems with similar properties. ALways JSK.
