The legend is that the Stones came from the Brecon Beacons in South
Wales. there was no Battle, and the stones were supposedly brought by
Merlin Ambrosius, who used his magic, he litrally flew them, To the site
of Stonhenge. but of course Stonehenge was there long before the Merlin
legends and earlier legends tell of them being brought by ropes and logs
pulled with great ceromony to there present site. and yes the Stones do
come from Wales, The Blue stones, (actually more grey than blue) are
part of ancient quarrys in the South Wales area.
