Check the Fiction shelves in your local library. Then pick up a copy of
The Satanic Bible by Anton Szandor LaVey. In it you will find the Church's
position on this subject since its inception. The Church of Satan never
did and never will condone the maltreatment of children or of animals. In
fact, the opposite is true.

All other "evidence" of "rituals" is usually found to have been a hoax
perpetrated by local christians, overzealous police, or both.
