Compare Jesus and Joshua for instance, they not the same in all contexts. Astaroth is a city, almost certainly one dedicated to Astarte but not strictly identical. Deuteronomy 1:4 After he had slain Sihon the king of the Amorites, which dwelt in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, which dwelt at Astaroth in Edrei: Baal vs. Bael is a more problematic issue because Beth often functions as the definitive article and thus with EL can simply mean the God. There is some debate amongst scholars of Semitic etymology whether the God Baal is simply a corruption by the Hebrew editors to distinguish Yahweh who is often addressed in this manner as the God from the competing tribal gods of the vicinity. As for Lucifer this is one of the common myths attached to him but he is not the only one given this rank in the often-confusing politics of Hell. On a side note Lucifer is often identified with both Uriel as being the Angel of Light and with Christ because of Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches.
