Well, just about everything Mathers wrote was massive plagiarism.  If you
are interested for his source for the intro to _Kabbalah Unveiled_, you
can read the original in Christian D. Ginsburg's 1863 _The Kabbalah: Its
Doctrines, Development and Literature_., still in print.
