Cat has filled in points I woulda made (really, I woulda!) if I hadn't been off initiating people into an allegedly clandestine organization this weekend (g). As far as I know, determining clandestine or irregular status is also a prerogative of each sovereign Grand Lodge in the US. I don't know Masonic law well enough to respond to the implication that they may n ot be allowed to recognize bodies considered irregular by UGLE. I must also note that those jurisdictions here which do not consider OTO irregular or clandestine, make that determination on the basis that (the Caliphate) OTO *as presently constituted* no longer claims (as Cat notes) to make Master Masons, and thus is irrelevant to Masonry as such. Like being in a service organization with a Masonic structure, like the Moose, Elks, or local Grange. Their ancestry may have included Masonry (these all came into being during the ferocious anti-Masonic backlash in the US after the Morgan affair) but they aren't Masonry today. Regards, Paul
