He accused the current Imperator, Christian Bernard, of shady land transactions in Canada. The real harm was done when in the ensuing court case, AMORC lost its status as a non-profit for the purposes of US tax laws. The mail-order mystics are now legally recognised for what they are, a dirty big corporation :-) I don't know how badly AMORC split in the events of 1990, but certainly in Australia, where I was once a member, they seem to have been badly battered. Very few young people seem attracted to the Order these days.
