Both and neither. I know that's not helpful, but it's the best I can do in the short and sweet. It really comes to a question of point of view. OTO recommends a contact with the A.'.A.'. organization and only recognizes that one for external purposes. At the same time, there is no issue taken by OTO regarding how one comes to A.'.A.'. or whether an individual's affiliations do or do not constitute that individual's valid A.'.A.'. experience. Such latter things are simply not the business of OTO. OTO has no authority to say A.'.A.'. is some particular thing in absolute terms. On the other hand, OTO has a duty to husband the Crowley copyrights that relate to A.'.A.'. and to aid those who would seek A.'.A.'. This is compromise. A particular discontinuity is called the Abyss on the Tree of Life. You need to avoid falling into it and otherwise manage as best you can across it on either side. Some issues are as unmixable as oil and water. They only work if kept in suspension. :-) 93 93/93 Bill -------------------------- eGroups Sponsor -------------------------~-~> eGroups eLerts It's Easy. It's Fun.
