OHO (Hymenaeus Beta)runs the show worldwide. US has been under its own
Grand Lodge for some years, headed by Sabazius, Xo. So Lon, as deputy
to the US Grand Master, is two layers below OHO in terms of the
management chart, as it were. But it doesn't really work that way (or
not all the time). It is appropriate that the OTO org chart contain
non-Euclidean connectors, after all, or even, pace Mr. Grant,
Lovecraftian ones.

Mind you, if HB ceased to be OHO tomorrow (or, pace the folks who
dispute that title, call it head of the "Caliphate" OTO if you prefer
(g)) no national Xo automatically steps up to the plate, but the OHO
would be selected by the members of the Sovereign Sanctuary of the
Gnosis (ie. the IXo) in whatever manner seemed good to them. I forget
what the current setup is for who takes the helm if the OHO drops
out...at one time he had a deputy of his own.
