These delightfully weighty sand-cast brass bas relief sacred sex charms come from Nepal. They depict a man and woman engaged in rites of sex magick in some highly acrobatic positions, which are derived in part from Hindu temple images and in part from the text of the "Kama Sutra" by Vatsayana. They average about one and a half inches in height; the backs are mostly plain and flat, but a couple of them have a bit of detailing on the reverse. Like other sex amulets, they can be carried as pocket pieces, placed into mojo bags or prayer bags for enahnced sexual luck, or hidden between the mattress and box springs of a bed as part of a love spell to inspire conjugal felicity. The names given to these pieces here are simply for the sake of convenience; i do not know their Nepalese names.
