All of the products carried by the Lucky Mojo Pharmacy Department have fabulous vintage-look labels to go along with their traditional forumaltions; we do not carry anything ugly, and we never will.

LINIMENT, PAIN RELIEVER, HERBAL OINTMENT,
AND TOPICAL ANALGESIC

Over-the-counter supplies for pain relief due to aches, sprains, and stress are a household necessity. We supply those which also have implicit spiritual, religious, and magical efficacy as well.

Occupying a place somewhere between a massage oil, a medicated ointment, and a cologne, a liniment may be generally described as an alcohol-based liquid topical pain reliever or analgesic, designed to be rubbed on sore or strained muscles. Most liniments are quite strong smelling, because turpentine, camphor, or capsicum are often leading ingredients in their formulation. Liniments are a wonderful help to those who work outdoors and need a rubdown after their labour. They are also of invaluable aid in the barn and stable, especially for use on horses who have been ridden long or hard.

Analgesic and counter-irritant ointments also provide pain relief. They work best when applied to bare skin.

Counter-irritant plasters are a third traditional form of herb-based analgesic. The botanical materials they contain typically create a sensation of warmth as well as pain relief.

circulation. Used in giving rub-downs, both medicinal and

spiritual in nature.

Virgin of Guadalupe Capsicum Plaster for Aches and Pains $3.00

From the Guadalupano Medicine Company comes this amazing,

faith-based pain relief system. Inside the 5 1//2" x 8"

envelope you will find a full colour print of the Virgin

of Guadalupe and a large, cloth-backed capsicum plaster

for application to the skin. To use it, set the image of

the Guadalupano where you can watch it, peel the plaster

from its backer, and then apply the plaster. The capsicum

plaster will produce an intense counter-irritant sensation

As it works on you, keep your eyes upon the image of Our

Lady of Guadalupe, and ask her intercession for healing.

When you have endured the heat to your own personal limit,

peel off the plaster and bathe the affected part with cold

water. The picture may be kept or discarded as you wish.

HERBAL
OINTMENTS

To make your own Condition Ointment, Rub, or Solid Perfume, blend the Lucky Mojo Condition Oil or Essential Oil of your choice with any prepared Ointment.

You can also use these prepared Ointments as a base for Herbal Rubs: mix fresh or dried herbs into the Ointment, until it will hold no more, let sit for one month, then gently heat and strain; the Ointment will re-solidify with the essence of the added herbs in it.

Black and White Ointment $4.00

Black and White Ointment is scented with Essential Oil

of Lemongrass, a cleansing herb that blends well with any

other fragrance. Safe to use on the body for massage or rub.

Bag Balm

Bag Balm Ointment is widely utilized in the dairy barn, for it

originated as a medicated salve for the udders of milk cows. It

has also long been used as a skin salve for humans to treat cuts,

abrasions, and stubborn skin irritations. We recommend this

strongly-scented, lanolin-rich ointment for use as-is, and also

advocate it as a base in compounding spiritually protective rubs.

CHEWING GUM

Chewing gum can be used in making Jack Balls, but the real reason we carry Glee Gum in the Lucky Mojo Occult Shop is that it is way cool and customers enjoy it. This is an old-fashioned gum with totally retro packaging, sweetened with rice syrup instead of corn syrup and made with the traditional gum base, chicle, a resin from the Sapodilla (a.k.a. Chiclezapote) tree. It is free from all of the artificial colours, flavours, preservatives, and polymers or plasticizers found in most commercial gum. The chicle itself if collected in the Peten region of Guatemala by experienced harvesters who sustainably tap the trees for their resin, much as Maple trees are tapped for their sweet Maple Syrup sap and as Dragon Palm trees are tapped for the Dragon's Blood resin used in incenses and inks.

Lemonin

This is a Chinese over-the-counter pain relief remedy for

fevers, colds, headache, and toothache. The major

ingredients are Paracetamol (Acetaminophen), Caffeine, and

Vitamin C (hence the name Lemonin), plus a mixture of herbs.

Each box contains 12 individually sealed foil packets of

powder. Take with warm water or tea every four hours, not to

exceed 8 doses daily, nor for more than 5 consecutive days.
