Those who perform rituals, engage in spiritual practices,
set lights, or practice spell-craft on a regular
basis usually find it convenient to maintain one or more
altars where the work is performed. We believe that a well-appointed
altar can be created from a simple table, nightstand, or chest of drawers.
A drawer or box beneath the altar surface is convenient to use as storage space
for supplies. Among the ritual tools and supplies that most spiritual workers
like to have on hand are writing supplies for petitions; candle holders,
candle snuffers, and specialty wooden matches for use in candle magick;
cloth bags for the making of mojo hands or to hold herbs for brewing
as teas or baths, and altar cloths appropriate to the type of work being done.
THAI
WALL ALTARS
For those who require a ready-made Asian-style wall altar, we offer the very best thing --
a genuine red and gilded wall altar from Thailand.
Elaborate Thai Wall Altar
These are the same kind of Thai wall altars that many folks will
recognize having seen in Thai restaurants. They are made of red
laquered wood with a gilded plastic railing and front piece on
which is depicted a praying Thai spirit-entity (sometimes called
an "angel" or a "fairy" by Thai people in America). Altars come
complete with a metal hanger on the back. Two sizes available.
Although these are Buddhist in origin, they look great with any
sort of sacred statuary on them.
NOTE: Due to the size and fragility of these special items, our
regular shipping charges DO NOT APPLY. You will be billed for
exact shipping plus a $2.00 packing fee to your zone. You may
specify UPS Ground or USPS Parcel Post delivery; we recommend
UPS, which can only be shipped to a street address, not a P.O. Box.
Elaborate Thai Wall Altar, Small: 10" W x 7 1/2" D x 11" H. $45.00
Elaborate Thai Wall Altar, Large: 13 1/2" W x 8 1/2" D x 13" H. $55.00

CANDLE HOLDERS
FOR CANDLE SPELLS
When a candle is burned in a spell, it is sometimes
convenient to place it in a candle stand. This is
especially true of offertory candles and small altar
candles which are easily tipped over if they are not
put into a holder of some kind. Candle stands with
hollow bases have the additional benefit of providing a
hiding place for the names and personal concerns of the
one for who the work is being done. For complete
discretion, tape the name-paper and items inside and
then fit a circle or square of green felt to the bottom
of the candle with contact cement. No one will know
there is anything inside, but the candle stand will be
"fixed" for the trick you are doing.

CANDLE SNUFFERS
FOR CANDLE RITUALS
When a candle is burned in sections, it is invariably
pinched out, not blown out at the end of each session, to
signify that the spell is not yet complete. A more graceful
way to put out candles than by spitting on your fingers and
pinching, is to snuff the candles out with an old-fashioned
candle snuffer. This eliminates objectional smoke from the
snuffed candle. Small candle snuffers are also used by many
hoodoo practitioners to form their loose
Incense Powder
into perfect cones for burning.
Further instructional information can be found on this page:

CHARCOAL DISKS
FOR INCENSE BURNING
Using kitchen tongs, hold the charcoal disk over the stove and set it alight, then
blow out the flame. Place the disk in a metal or stone incense burner or thurible, with the
glowing side up, and drop grains of resin incense, herbs, oils, and/or self-lighting incense
powders onto it.
Swift-Light Charcoal Disks $3.00
Used to create a bed on which to burn resins and herbs for worship and rituals.
Self-lighting; 10 disks per package.
INCENSE BRAZIER, INCENSE BURNER,
INCENSE HOLDER, ASH CATCHER, or THURIBLE
Incense may be burned in any non-flammable container, but most people prefer to
place their charcoal disks and incense in a specially made incense brazier or
incense burner that stands on legs, so that the heat of the
burning charcoal will not mar their altar or table surface.
One old-fashioned name for this common altar tool is a thurible,
and during rituals, the person who tends to the incense, especially when it
is kept in a hanging thurible and waved about during the services,
is called the thurifer. For home use, a standing incense brazier
is generally preferred, and it should be large enough to hold a
charcoal disk and resin incense. Stick incense (agarbathi sticks)
are often burned in special ash-catching incense holders.

the Mexican Loteria Game
to elaborate "stone" resin boxes decorated with traditional Celtic knotwork.
Hand-Painted Loteria Boxes from Peru
If you love the Loteria images -- the Heart, Mermaid, Rose, Moon,
and Violin -- and if you find them emotionally and spiritually
significant, as many people do, you will probably also love
these hand-painted Loteria boxes from Peru. They are approximately
2 1/2 " wide by 3 3/4 " long by 1 1/2 " deep. Each one is different,
but they all bear images taken from the authentic old-fashioned
Loteria cards. Designs vary and we will chose one for you. $14.00

This hand-painted cold-cast resin Dragon box has an "ancient

This hand-painted cold-cast resin Pentagram box has an "ancient
stone" look, embellished with intricate Celtic knotwork. It is
6 1/2 " wide x 3 " deep x 3" high -- just the size for storing

BOTTLES AND VIALS
Holy Water means different things to different people. To
Catholics it is water that has been consecrated by a priest,
to Hindus it may be water from a sacred well or spring, to
Wiccans it may mean water charged by a priestess. We do not
try to define what is Holy Water to *you* but we do sell
traditional containers for Holy Water.
Also, for our customers who wish to make their own anointing
oils or magical inks, or who want to decant bulk perfumes and dressing oils
into pocket or purse size containers, we offer plain flint glass bottles
and vials as well as fancy cobalt blue glass bottles.
In addition to these bottles, we also carry a nice line of
Hand-Painted Bottle Spells.

We specialize in spiritual supplies that are hard to find, esoteric, arcane, and,
above all, authentic. Our prices are fair and our quality unsurpassed because
unlike most occult shops on the web, which are just resellers of
factory-made products, we grow many of our own herbs, and we hand craft
all of the dressing oils, incense, bath crystals, sachet powders, mojo bags, floor washes,
and spell kits that we sell right here in our shop, one at a time.
In keeping with old-time conjure shop standards, we don't
just make spiritual supplies; we pray over them and dedicate
them to the needs of our clients as we craft them. We also offer free candle
dressing with herbs and oils on all mail-order or in-shop
glass encased vigil lights and novena candles,
and there is no charge for the setting of prayer lights on
our petition altars for customers of the shop.
We sell retail and wholesale from our occult store in Forestville, California,
and we ship nationally and internationally to our many mail order customers. For your
online shopping convenience we accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
